About

Hello! I’m Jennifer and I am a running enthusiast and love fitness in general. I’ve been running since I was cut from the freshman volleyball team and they told me to try cross country. I listened and I loved it. Running has been a passion of mine ever since. That’s me at an annual run I do every Memorial Day, the BolderBoulder. My husband and I do it every year together and occasionally are kids will remember that they have fun every time they’ve decided to join us and will do it as well.

I started this blog to trace my journey into becoming a personal trainer. In March of 2018, I had an exploratory laparotomy. They made an 8″ incision down the middle of my abdomen, removed a tumor and an ovary and inspected all of my other organs to see if any of them were infected. Thankfully, none of them were and I am able to move on now.

However, that scary time in my life prompted me to try do something with my life that I am passionate about instead of the standard 9-5. Fitness and training are things that have always been a big part of my life and I realized that I could help a lot of people meet their goals.

SO, while I am recovering and getting back into my fitness routines, I’m taking personal training classes and starting a blog. It’s a lot to take on right now, I am a little overwhelmed. My 9-5 is actually 7-3 because I also have two daughters – teenagers – that have a TON going on and I coach volleyball on the side. Some days, I feel like I have 6 full time jobs! But, only one of those six is holding me back from fully enjoying myself and I am going to work to finally get rid of that part of my life.

I hope you will join me on my journey to being Stronger, Healthier and Happier. It should be fun!
